Not gonna lie, I’ve been using Contabo mainly for backups and the disk speed has been better than I expected. Uploading and moving files around has been smooth, and I haven’t run into any weird slowdowns so far. For the price, the storage performance is good. I’m happy with it

"Renewal was smooth, cancellation took a little looking"
My VPS renewal came up the main thing I was watching for was whether the billing looked right. It went through fine, no weird surprise charge or anything like that. Later on I needed to cancel one service, and I’ll admit I didn’t notice where the cancellation option was at first. It felt a bit tucked away in the panel. Support pointed me to the right spot though, and after that it worked without any issue. Overall it was a decent experience, but the control panel could be a little clearer.

"I’ve been using Contabo for a few..."
I’ve been using Contabo for a few months now, the billing has been exactly what it should be, boring in the best possible way. Every invoice has matched what I expected, with no mysterious extra fees suddenly appearing out of the shadows. Payments show up properly, and the billing emails are clear enough that I’m not sitting there decoding them like some ancient prophecy. After getting hit with unpleasant surprises from other hosts before, this has been a huge relief. Simple, accurate, and drama-free, which is all I really wanted

"I’ve been using Contabo for a while, but…"
I’ve been using Contabo for a while, but my experience with it recently has been what stands out the most. The control panel is easy to figure out, and I can restart my VPS, check the details, reinstall systems, and manage the usual stuff without digging around forever. Some other panels I’ve tried felt way more complicated than they needed to be, but this one keeps everything in one place and it’s been loading fine for me lately. Overall, it’s made managing my server a lot less annoying, so I’m happy with it.

"Pretty solid support experience"
My VPS didn’t come back up after a reboot, i figured I’d be waiting forever for help. But support got back to me quickly, asked one straightforward question, and had it sorted the same day. It wasn’t some huge dramatic problem, but I was quietly impressed that they actually looked into it instead of sending a generic copy-paste reply. Definitely a good experience for me...

My VPS started acting up late at night, and I was worried I’d lose more time or end up with a bigger issue if it dragged on. Support got back to me faster than I expected, actually checked things properly, and explained what went wrong in a way I could follow. Nothing flashy, just solid help that got me back up and running before it became a real headache

"Easy VPS control"
I’ve been using Contabo for a VPS, i really like how much control it gives me. Need to reinstall? Done. Restart? Easy. Change things in the panel without waiting around for support? Nice. It makes managing my small projects way less of a hassle, and I can set everything up the way I want. Simple.

My account was suspended unexpectedly, so I reached out to support. They got back to me, explained what happened, and helped fix it without much hassle. It took a little bit of time, but overall it was a smooth experience and everything is fine now

"Easy snapshots, thankfully simple restores"
I’m not even going to pretend I had everything perfectly organized, I clicked around, changed something I probably shouldn’t have, and then remembered the snapshots. They were easy to use, and the backup actually worked when I needed it, which is kind of the whole point. So yeah, small panic, quick fix, no big disaster...

I ended up getting my refund, but it took longer than I expected. The policy wasn’t super clear about the timing either, and that part was weird. Overall it worked out, but I wish they made the refund details easier to understand upfront.

Getting my Contabo account verified was straightforward overall. I uploaded the required info and the instructions in the emails were clear enough, so that part was fine. The only thing that got on my nerves was the waiting — I kept checking my email wondering when it would finally go through. Once it was approved, everything worked and I could start using the account without any real issues

"Mostly Fair, But Busy Times Show"
The CPU and RAM are basically what they advertised, so I can’t really complain too much. Most of the time it runs fine. That said, during busy hours it does sometimes feel like the resources are being shared more than they should be. If a company promises certain specs, I think it’s only fair that customers consistently get what they paid for.

"Pretty solid speed for the price"
I’ve been using Contabo for a few months now, and overall it’s been a good experience. The network speed is decent for what you pay, and the latency stays fairly stable most days. I’ve noticed a few slower moments at night, but nothing that really caused major issues. I’m happy with it so far, and I’d say it’s worth considering if you’re looking for something affordable and reliable enough.
